Management Team
Our management team has more than 50 years combined experience in commercial banking and finance. Most of our current management team previously worked together at State Bank, a publicly traded commercial bank (TXUI) since 1996, until the bank was sold in 2007.
Don Stricklin |
Don Stricklin is the chairman of Far West Capital. Prior to joining Far West Capital, Don was president and CEO of State Bank and Texas United Bancshares in La Grange, Texas. Texas United grew from $80 million in 1997 to more than $1.8 billion in assets by February 2007, with 41 locations prior to its merger with Prosperity Bancshares. Texas United operated under four subsidiaries: State Bank, GNB, Gateway National Bank and Northwest Bank. Prior to joining Texas United in 1996, Don was senior vice president at Bank One Mortgage in Dallas. He also served in several management positions with Bank One in the community bank division, including president and CEO of Bank One in Abilene, Texas.
Don served on the board of Prosperity Bancshares, Inc., formerly Texas United Bancshares, until he joined Far West Capital in 2007.
Don was a national bank examiner for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and received his commission in 1985. He is a former director of The Independent Bankers Bank (TIB) in Irving, Texas and was recently named one of the finalists competing for the Stevie Award as Best Executive at the 2005 American Business Awards in New York City. Don holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas State University. |
Cole Harmonson |
Cole Harmonson is president and CEO of Far West Capital. Prior to Far West Capital, Cole was the founder and senior vice president of State Bank’s Working Capital Finance Group (WCFG), the asset based lending and factoring division of State Bank. In 1996, Cole joined State Bank to start the WCFG, where he managed the business until the sale to Prosperity Bank in February 2007. Prior to joining State Bank, he was vice president at The National Bank of Texas in Fort Worth.
Cole is currently a board member of the Central Texas Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association, the American Factoring Association, Entrepreneur’s Organization, and the Association for Corporate Growth. He is a member of the Commercial Finance Association, the Independent Banker’s Association of Texas, the Texas Banker’s Association, the International Factoring Association, and the Association for Corporate Growth. He is the past chairman of the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Access to Capital committee. Cole holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Tech University. |
Brian Center |
Brian Center is the EVP and chief operating officer for Far West Capital. Prior to joining the Far West Capital team, Brian was the co-owner and president of Comresco Capital, LLC, a factoring company founded in 2002 and sold to Bibby Financial in 2007.
Brian has also served in a number of senior management roles in the commercial finance and banking industry. Brian uses his passion for working with and growing small businesses to create a value added consultative affiliation with his clients.
Brian graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics. |
Jason Lippman |
Jason Lippman is the vice president at Far West Capital. Jason is responsible for new business development and establishing referral partner relationships. Prior to joining Far West Capital, Jason founded HomeTex Enterprises, LLC, a real estate investment, brokerage and property management company, in 2005 and continues to manage a diversified portfolio of residential real estate investments in Texas.
Jason also co-founded and was CEO of Mirabella Estates, an exclusive alternative to second home ownership for high net worth individuals. Mirabella Estates was developed, launched and then sold after only 11 months to category leader Exclusive Resorts. Jason also served as the Chief Financial Officer for internet start-up Mall.com and was principally responsible for raising over $7.5mm in equity capital. Prior to his entrepreneur experiences, Jason worked as a Senior Manager at Arthur Andersen in their business consulting division, focusing on strategic cost saving initiatives for Fortune 500 companies. Jason graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1994 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Professional Accounting and earned his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1995. |
Vince Mancuso |
Vince Mancuso is senior vice president at Far West Capital. Vince spends most of his time developing business and managing a large network of referral relationships, while also providing oversight to support our internal compliance and collateral examination efforts. Vince has an acute understanding of both the financial and relational dynamics of our business, and enjoys working with our service partners to cultivate new partnerships while managing the overall client experience.
Vince’s prior executive assignments include managing director of a national commercial finance consulting firm, SVP of Rediscount Lending for a national bank, and co-leading several national factoring companies. He has been published multiple times in The Commercial Factor and is active in several prominent organizations, including the Commercial Finance Association (having served as a past Executive Director), International Factoring Association, and Turnaround Management Association. |
Pam McConlogue |
Pam McConlogue is the vice president of sales for Far West Capital, and will be leading the Phoenix office. Prior to Far West Capital, Pam was the vice president of sales for Bibby Financial Services, where she was responsible for account receivables, purchase order finance, DIP finance, import and export finance, and business development. In addition, Pam has also served in a number of senior management roles in the banking and commercial lending industries where she gained extensive experience in consumer small business and commercial portfolio growth and management, along with client counseling on investments, loans and financial issues. She is also a licensed real estate agent in Arizona.
As a seasoned financial industry business development officer and portfolio manager, Pam’s dedication to customer service and building strong client relationships has prepared her for success at Far West Capital. In her role, Pam is responsible for working directly with companies seeking financing and new business development. Pam has served on many boards including Arizona Commercial Real Estate Women, Risk Management Association, Business Professional Women Phoenix and Turnaround Management Association. Pam graduated from Miami University of Ohio in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in High School Education in 1985. |
Lorena Bolivar |
Lorena is the area manager at Far West Capital. In her role, she is responsible for managing client relationships, new client contracts, collections, deposits, and sales at the El Paso office.
Prior to joining Far West Capital in 2008 as a Senior Account Manager, Lorena was the Senior Account Manager at Sierra Finance for three years. At Sierra Finance, she was responsible for a variety of services including creating factoring schedules and managing QuickBooks. Lorena is passionate about providing superb customer service, which can be seen through Far West Capital’s long-term client relationships. Lorena is fluent in Spanish and uses this skill to connect with new and existing clients in the El Paso area. Lorena is also a member of the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. |
